The legendary Patty Dukes has died at age 69 but her music along with her acting will live on. Patty was an Oscar-winning actress renowned at midcentury as a child star of stage, film and television, who, amid public struggles with bipolar disorder, went on to cultivate a respected career in adulthood as an actress and mental-health advocate. She will be missed so let’s say a prayer for her soul to be in heaven and have a moment of silence for her.

But her music reminds us of a female beetles singer with much ummp in the voice to bring the songs home as hits. Even though she didn’t have many plays on Spotify yesterday now she will have many but her estate and family will reap many benefits.
