The difference in the two visions is very simple but the work required to get from one to the other – from the personal to the present-in-all, i.e. to the Spiritual – requires a person’s attention and effort, and of course the initial desire to get there.

Mark 7:21-22′ Taking offense if you are challenged you carry on…the end justifying the means.

Religion saves NO one, Jesus does, Only when you give yourself over to him, are you truly saved from what is to come! We all have free will and that’s where my was made a long time ago.
There are four comments which I don’t yet see in the story, but note in the precis (Spirit category) that they are all negative. Let us not forget that we live in a ‘Whole’, are holy, in which God or the Spirit of Life, The Great Spirit of the American Indians, lives in all things.. is even the substance of all things, such that WHAT ‘WE DO TO ANOTHER, WE DO TO OURSELVES’. This is the Law of Love which works, such that IF WE DO WRONG WE HAVE TO EXPECT THE RETURN… What is coming that feels like a punishment is NOT GOD PUNISHING US, but WE PUNISHING OURSELVES.

I do not oppose ‘god’. I just see no evidence for ‘his’ existence.
I feel you to be a good person,however,sadly,many others who push various deities,do horrible things to other human beings.
Even you threaten the rest of us with eternal agony if we don’t believe in this man-made construct. That is a common theme amongst the religious,who have managed to convince themselves that their particular deity is the correct one.
Believe me, I have no axe to grind against anyone who wants to worship,sing to and pray to an idol of any kind. The problem is however,you just cannot keep it to yourselves can you!

Be a humanist.Be balanced and spiritual (not to be confused with religion!) Obey the golden rule-do nothing to others which you would not have done to yourself,and you will live a good and decent existence.
Once deities enter the equation, murder,destruction,torture and physical and mental abuse follow. Your ‘holy’ books are full of your negativity,and instruct or infer human beings to do horrible things to each other and their children,and even their own children.
We need to cast off this mental stranglehold we have created for ourselves,and only then can we attain the spiritual heights to which we are capable.
