Life in the Spirit
The Spirit within brings life, gives life, preserves life, protects life of soul and body. Do not neglect God’s great gift but discern it from the spirit of evil which it tries to imitate it so that it appears to the unwise and undiscerning as good .
Test the spirits, as it says in 1 John 4-1.
Every spirit that confesses Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God. Every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not of God.
This is the hope we hold to and real hope is never in vain.
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood but against evil hierarchies of spirits, as St Paul says.
Test all spirits that you are not sure of.
Thus can you claim fellowship with God and with his brethren through the Holy Spirit.
God is quick to respond to those that seek him, no matter the circumstance.
Do not judge others but rather be quick to forgive. Give it a try and you will see that it works much better to resolve problems.
If we are unable to forgive even when we try, that’s OK. It takes real strength to forgive some and we may not be up to the challenge.
Christ said, when he had breathed on the Apostles ” whose sins you shall forgive, they are forgiven, whose sins you shall retain, they are retained.” John 20:23.
