A courtesy visit to honour environmental champion
Reddyvarii Palle – Telangana (Before It’s News – IC): JD Lakshminarayana, former CBI Joint Director and founder of the Jai Bharat National Party, paid a courtesy visit to Vanajeevi Ramaiah at his residence in Reddyvari Pally, Khammam, on Thursday. The Padmashri awardee, known for his dedication to environmental conservation, has been recovering from a recent hospital stay due to ill health.
During the visit, Lakshminarayana inquired about Ramaiah’s health and assured him of all possible support. Telangana State Ministers Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy and Tummala Nageswara Rao had also visited Ramaiah earlier to check on his condition.

Advocacy for environmental conservation and agrarian sustainability
JD Lakshminarayana, known for his staunch advocacy for sustainable development, took a special interest in the red sandalwood saplings planted by Ramaiah and his family as part of a government-supported budget forest initiative.
He commended Ramaiah’s decades-long commitment to afforestation, saying, “Vanajeevi Ramaiah’s work is a testament to the transformative power of grassroots environmentalism. His efforts inspire us to prioritize ecological balance and sustainable practices in agriculture.”
Lakshminarayana emphasized the importance of conserving endangered species like red sandalwood and called for increased public-private partnerships to replicate such models across India.
