A grand celebration marked the 194th birth anniversary of Savitribai Phule, India’s first woman teacher and social reformer, at Old Alwal Ambedkar Nagar Colony, organized by various social and cultural organizations.

Tributes to India’s first woman teacher
Telangana (Before It’s News – IC): Savitribai Phule, known as the pioneer of women’s education in India, was celebrated for her groundbreaking efforts to uplift oppressed communities, particularly women. Savitribai, who was married to Jyotirao Phule at the age of 9 in 1840, overcame illiteracy with her husband’s guidance and became an advocate for education and equality.
In 1848, she and her husband established the first school for girls from backward castes in Pune, challenging societal norms of the time. C.Y. Yadagiri emphasized that it is essential for every student in India to learn about her inspiring life story.

The event was held under the auspices of Downtrodden People’s Rights Struggle Committee, Telangana Ambedkar Yuva Jana Sangham, Gaddar Fans Sangham and Jajjanaka Kala Mandal.
The program saw enthusiastic participation from prominent individuals, including CL Yadagiri, G Rajaiah, CL Krishna, Sivashankar, Balamallesh, Nageshwar Rao, Ravi, Railway Balaraj, TM Krishna, Lakshmi, Chander, Ailaiah, Yellamayya, Mutyalu, Shakuntala Naidu, Venkatesh, Anjaneyulu, Ramesh, Brahmachari, and Srinivas.
