Faithful Ministers Save And Preserve God’s Congregation Through Doctrine, Discipline, And Dedication: Dr. Mruthyunjaya L K
Dr. Mruthyunjaya L K, a Christian Scholar and keynote speaker, emphasized the sacred duty of ministers in preserving and strengthening the Lord’s congregation. Delivering his address at the convocation of B.Th graduates in Andhra Bible College of Eluru, Andhra Pradesh, on February 19, he underscored the scriptural foundation, divine authority, and unwavering perseverance required in ministry while urging ministers to walk wisely in the world.
-
Ministers as stewards of God’s Word
Eluru – Andhra Pradesh: Dr. Mruthyunjaya stressed that ministers are not merely church officials but stewards entrusted with the mysteries of God. “A minister’s calling is divine. He must be vigilant in doctrine, dedicated to teaching, and committed to preserving the faith,” he stated. He urged ministers to study the scriptures diligently, as their authority stems from God’s Word.
-
Scriptural authority and the minister’s role
Citing the scriptures, Dr. Mruthyunjaya emphasized that God gave ministers to perfect the saints, not just distribute personal Bibles. “Ministers are Christ’s ambassadors, chosen by Him to labour in His vineyard,” he said, adding that their teaching and presence enable God to dwell among His people. He reminded graduates that ministers are soldiers of Christ, entrusted with carrying the riches of the gospel forward in the Satan’s mighty territories.
-
Obedience and vigilance in ministry
Warning against complacency, Dr. Mruthyunjaya urged ministers to heed both their personal conduct and doctrine. “A minister too busy to examine himself is unfit for the pulpit. The scriptures are given primarily to the man of God to reprove, correct, and instruct in righteousness,” he said. He emphasized that faithfulness to doctrine is essential for building God’s house.
-
Walking wisely in a secular world
Dr. Mruthyunjaya cautioned ministers to be discerning of external influences. “The world is watching. Ministers must walk in wisdom, navigating challenges without compromising their faith,” he remarked. He encouraged them to remain steadfast, working alongside God to advance His kingdom through teaching, exhortation, and shepherding the flock with integrity.
Perseverance: The key to ministry growth
He concluded by reminding graduates that a minister’s dedication will bring spiritual growth. “Ministry is not a position of privilege but a labour of love. A faithful minister builds the church, strengthens the saints, and furthers God’s kingdom,” he declared, urging them to remain vigilant and committed to their calling.
Dr. Mruthyunjaya commended Andhra Bible College, its professors, and students for their unwavering commitment to doctrine, discipline, and dedication since its inception.
