Soros Groups Behind Astroturfing Demonstrations at Anti-DOGE Republican Townhalls

Of course Soros is staging anti-DOGE demos. USAID funded Soros.

The so-called backlash to Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) project on display at recent Republican town halls was actually astroturfed by left-wing organizations. The legacy media, naturally, jumped on the alleged backlash, with The New York Times, The Washington Post, and CBS News all reporting the protests as if they were organic opposition to President Donald Trump’s attempt to reduce wasteful government spending. It turns out, however, that the protests were anything but organic (Daily Wire).

ASTROTURF: The fake outrage at DOGE at GOP townhalls is being coordinated by a Soros-backed NGO called Indivisible. President Trump and his DOGE efforts are overwhelmingly popular among Republicans and Independents. Even a majority of Democrats approve of the cost cutting.

Free Beacon: The demonstrations drove mainstream media coverage of brewing backlash against the Trump administration as the lower chamber left Washington, D.C., for a week-long recess. Well-funded liberal organizations organized many of them. The George Soros-funded groups Indivisible and MoveOn were at the center of the demonstrations. Both groups launched national “mobilization” efforts targeting the “Trump-Musk agenda” and “Trump-Musk coup” during the recess period. MoveOn said its “members and allies will show up at congressional-led town halls and congressional offices around the country, targeting House Republicans whose votes will be crucial in opposing Trump and Musk’s harmful policies.” Indivisible issued a “Musk or Us Recess Toolkit” that showed members how to find their local town halls and urged them to “take the fight to Elon” (Free Beacon).

FOX News: The left-wing groups backing the anti-DOGE protests across the country have been funding a variety of progressive causes in recent years, including defunding the police, pushing socialism, anti-Israel protests and opposing President Donald Trump’s agenda in general.

In a press release earlier this month, MoveOn.org announced that it was mobilizing resources as part of a “Congress Works for Us, Not Musk” initiative “aimed at pressuring lawmakers to fight back against the Trump-Musk agenda.”

MoveOn.org has taken millions of dollars from George Soros and his Open Society Policy Center in recent years. Soros is one of the most prominent backers in the United States of left-wing issues, including backing progressive district attorneys that set out to “reimagine policing” in the United States.

Additionally, Fox News Digital has previously reported on the Soros network’s ties to the anti-Israel protests that swept the country on college campuses last year.
