…AIR QUALITY ALERT IN EFFECT UNTIL MIDNIGHT EDT TONIGHT…
The North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality in Raleigh NC has issued a Code Orange Air Quality Action Day for Fine Particulates for Buncombe, Haywood, Swain, Macon, and Rutherford Counties, until midnight EDT tonight.
An Air Quality Action Day means that Fine Particulates concentrations within the region may approach or exceed unhealthy standards.
A line of showers and thunderstorms associated with a cold front is expected to move across the area early Monday afternoon through early Monday evening. Some of these storms may be strong to severe with damaging winds and isolated tornadoes.
