HAZARDOUS WEATHER
…INCREASED FIRE DANGER FROM NOON EDT TODAY THROUGH THIS EVENING…
This afternoon will again be very dry, with minimum relative humidity in the 15-20% range across most of the region. While winds aren`t expected to be as strong, gusts of 10-15mph are expected during the afternoon, along with very dry fuels and multiple ongoing wildfires. Therefore, enhanced fire danger conditions will continue.
A statewide burn ban remains in place in both North Carolina and South Carolina until further notice. For northeast Georgia, consult your local burn- permitting authority on whether or not you may burn outdoors. If you do burn in Georgia, please exercise extreme caution.
