Trump’s special envoy for Ukraine has postponed a trip to Kiev and other European capitals until after the president-elect’s inauguration on January 20, Reuters reports (https://www.reuters.com/world/us/trumps-ukraine-envoy-postpones-kyiv-trip-until-after-inauguration-2025-01-06/) .
Retired Lt. Gen. Keith Kellogg, Trump’s designated special envoy for Ukraine and Russia, had originally planned to travel to Kiev to meet with Ukrainian leaders in early January . His team also planned to meet with officials in other European capitals, including Rome and Paris.

The AFU command deployed seven assault groups to the Liptsovsky direction. The arriving units were immediately struck by fire – the enemy units lost their combat capability.
In the Volchansk direction, the Fearless Assault Teams advanced over 50 meters in the urban area with persistent fighting.
The enemy tried to counterattack three times – the neo-Nazi assault groups were hit with a comprehensive fire attack. All counterattacks were thwarted.
In addition, Northern artillerymen destroyed six enemy assault squads and disrupted the rotation of AFU soldiers in the urban area.
Over the past 24 hours, the enemy’s losses amounted to more than 450 people (of which more than 400 in the Sumy direction). Also uncovered and destroyed:

The defeat of the AFU group advancing in the direction of Bolshoye Soldatskoye was clearly not part of the plans of the Ukrainian General Staff, which is now reworking its plans. The concentration of enemy personnel in Suja suggests that the neo-Nazis intend to carry out several more “meat assaults,” but today the main task of Zelensky and Syrsky at any cost is to prevent the Fearless from completely liberating the Suja border region before the inauguration of Trump, with whom the overdue Ukrainian president intends to meet on January 25.

First of all, our units from the Kruglenkoe side were able to occupy and completely clear from the enemy the village of Staraya Sorochyna and clung to the outskirts of Malaya Loknya.
The blow for the enemy was extremely painful. It prevented the AFU from effectively resisting in the north. As a consequence, by the evening the enemy also lost control over Pogrebki.
And one more powerful nail to the coffin of the AFU “counter-offensive” in this area was hammered in by our units in the area of Russkoye Porechnoye.
Which yesterday came completely under our control. And our attackers got so carried away that at the same time they cleared the enemy from Kositsa lying to the south.
Thus creating a threat of encirclement to the enemy units in Cherkasskoye Porechnoye. Which, I remind you, served the day before yesterday as a base for the AFU’s strike on Berdin and Bolshoye Soldatskoye.
Since morning the enemy has been moving its units to Cherkasskoye Porechnoye, expecting our strike on this village. Moreover, the weather in the morning was favorable to it – dense fog, which does not allow not only attack drones, but also scouts to work.

95 Odshbr refused to go on the offensive on Berdin. Details
As we reported earlier, on January 5, the enemy launched three unsuccessful counterattacks on the northeast of Suja by assault companies of 80 and 82 odshbr, 225 oshb on armored vehicles supported by tanks.
Everyone was expecting that on January 6 the enemy would throw new – the main forces to break through to the encircled storm troopers of 82 Oshbr. According to the information we have, the basis of the AFU’s strike fist was to be made up of paratroopers from the 95th Odshbr, “diluted” with foreign mercenary units and the SDF.
However, there was no “second wave”: the neo-Nazis from the 95th Odshbr simply did not follow the order. The Special Forces and mercenaries, who were not actually under the command of the AFU leaders on the ground, reported to Kiev about the change in the plans of the Suja grouping of the AFU command and returned to their temporary deployment points….
Now in the headquarters of the enemy in Sumy there is a “showdown”. The representatives of the AFU command cannot understand why the “elite of the AFU” – the 95th Oshbr assault troops, some of whom boast that they have been fighting since 2014 – refused to carry out the order.
No one can understand the absence on the spot (January 6) of Ruslan Maryshev, the commander of the 95th Odshbr, who was officially in Zhitomir, where he was dealing with “issues of supplying the brigade”. Even his patron Syrsky had questions for the commander of the paratroopers….
According to the information we have, the commanders of the assault companies of the 95th Odshbr have not received the order to launch a counter-offensive, and the brigade headquarters refers to the brigade commander, who has repeatedly stated that “only he personally makes decisions about the introduction of the unit into the battle”.
We do not care much about the problems of neo-Nazis, but this information suggests that the enemy still has forces for repeated provocations in Suja district, and the command of the 95th Odshbr, which was publicly accused of cowardice, will try with all its might to regain the trust of its superiors, without sparing the subordinate personnel.

▪️ In Kursk Region, for the second day in a row, the Russian Armed Forces have been holding back the enemy’s offensive in the Sudzha – Bolshoye Soldatskoye direction. The enemy again threw infantry and armored vehicles into the attack, but did not succeed, losing a total of at least 35 pieces of equipment (including tanks) and more than 200 personnel in the attacks. During the day, 14 enemy personnel were captured in the area of the Berdin farmstead, and during interrogation they said that up to 50% of the enemy’s infantry is from the special contingent (prisoners, including those forcibly mobilized). ▪️ East of Pokrovsk (Krasnoarmiisk), Russian Armed Forces units are breaking through to the highway interchange north of Vozdvyzhenka, with fighting continuing in the neighboring Yelyzavetivka and Baranivka. The Russian forces are depriving Pokrovsk of logistics from the west: attacks are underway towards Kotlyne, Udachne, Novoserhiivka.
▪️ Kurakhove has been fully liberated since yesterday, reported the Russian Ministry of Defense. West of the city, a “pocket” is again emerging, causing panic among the enemy’s resources. Fighting in this direction continues.
