I will close out the post with a visit to our underwater neighbors. The Red-eyed Medusa
The Red-eyed Medusa is a small (up to 5cm) hydrozoan jellyfish with red eye spots (ocelli) at the base of their tentacles. They can occur in large numbers near the surface of the water in calm bays during the summer in the Pacific Northwest.
