Latest scientific analysis shows increase in earthquake and volcanic activity man-made.
A new explanation for the observed increase in earthquake and volcanic activity these past few decades has recently been published – it’s caused by the increase in global energy production and industrialization and the factual evidence and scientific model is beyond dispute.
Much of the data collected as evidence to test climate-change models is inconsistent with predictions of the greenhouse gas model. However the same data is fully consistent with the physics of increasing strain on the earth’s tectonic plates as a result of the gradual reduction of land ice mass and the gradual addition of water to the oceans.
The strain can be calculated from ice mass movements and simple geotechnical considerations. The data shows that recent increases in global energy production and industrialization correlate very well with the increasing trend in atmospheric greenhouse gas levels and the rapidly disappearing glaciers and ice cover on certain ice shelves and mountain tops. These facts and this trend also correlates very well with the recent increase in earthquake and volcanic activity these past few decades. These three close correlations and the observed accelerating trends are so close that a cause-effect relationship is extremely difficult to refute. Furthermore, the unexpected and comparatively slow but constant rise in sea level and the slow but irregular and accumulating rise in atmospheric temperature in the past several decades are well correlated with one another but not correlated with the other three trends. Only one explanation can tie all these surprising observations and FACTS together. The ocean floor is expanding faster than in previous decades to accommodate the extra water from faster melting ice and the resulting increase in earthquake and volcanic activity is therefore the result of man-made energy production and industrialization.
