OTL: The Man Speaks!
It’s always interesting when we hear words directly from Baltimore Ravens owner Steve Bisciotti instead of a prepared statement released by the team. Of the 31 NFL owners (Green Bay doesn’t count) Bisciotti is certainly one of the quieter ones, especially in recent years.
For what it’s worth, I like Bisciotti as the owner of my favorite football team. There are certain times where we mock our friends from other fanbases who might have “worse owners,” but how often is Bisciotti used as ammunition against us as Ravens fans? Not often. Can all the teams we root against say the same? Would you prefer a Jerry Jones? I know a lot of Cowboys fans…trust me, you don’t.
In any case, it’s fascinating to hear what the owner has to say, and I think it perked up a few ears when Bisciotti recently did an interview. Yes, it was an interview with a Ravens employee, but still.
Steve Bisciotti and John Harbaugh sit down to discuss their shared vision for the team, continuity, and their desire to win ð§ð¨ð°.

No one should expect anything revelatory from the sit-down, but there are some tidbits worth discussing. For instance, I’ve never heard Bisciotti say that he’s “pissed” before.
He should be, for the record. As should everybody who works in that organization.
Another quote from the owner that stuck out: “Continuity is a gift.”
I don’t think a lot of Ravens fans who use Twitter would agree, but I see his point. Bisciotti went on to say that he “doesn’t give a damn” about the Ravens’ 30th anniversary and that he wants to win now.
Again, that’s what he’s supposed to say, but the Ravens putting this on their own website with their own media team, to me, says more than if he’d just dictated this at a podium. These guys know what the goal is. They’re not trying to win 13-14 games from September-December. They’re trying to win a game in February.
Well then, Mr. Bisciotti. We’re waiting.
