Forced To Board the Migraine Train Again
I’ve been mildly sniffly and had a few sneeze attacks over the last couple of weeks. It’s not allergy season! So I dreaded what happened next:
Yep– right on schedule, two weeks after my mild “cold” symptoms began– the migraines returned. Luckily, I’ve been saving up all winter in anticipation of this, so I have options to prevent my going “down to darkness” for months at a time. Unfortunately, I still have to avoid light more and be very aware of possible triggers.
A worrisome new symptom–?
All my migraines have been on my right side. Every single one. My entire LIFE as far as I can remember. Recently, I got a mild migraine on my LEFT side and… oh my gods, no. Please no…
I had been migraine free since October. That’s meant I could start getting myself out there again. I’ve been masking, but I go out to a restaurant once a month, and I must have picked up something that way. This means no more going out to restaurants where I have to remove my mask to eat, and Cat is not going to like that, but this is ridiculous!
Everyone I know has been getting really sick with respiratory viruses this winter, and being hit with Norovirus and all kinds of things. I’ve evaded them all by masking and staying at home during the cold and flu season. It was too much not being able to go out once a month, though, and I dared to pretend I could get away with it.
Clearly I can’t.
