In my last book I wrote extensively about why the timing for China to take Taiwan is now, while the United States still has huge commitments in the Middle East and Ukraine spreading its forces thin… While it still has a lame duck president Biden asleep at the wheel – much more likely to continue funneling foreign payments to the Biden family and much less likely to want to start WWIII over Taiwan. If Xi Jinping waits another few weeks he will face a tougher U.S. president unlikely to back down and China may not see another Biden-like opportunity to seize Taiwan for 4 – or 12 years.

Some people think America’s military is still so far ahead of China’s that Xi can’t even consider taking Taiwan. While true that China would not stand a chance against America in Europe or the Middle East or the Americas, in their own back yard all their assets can reach Taiwan without long supply lines – America would need weeks or months to gear up to scale in East Asia and the invasion could be over long before American forces could compete:

So while the U.S. military is busy with drones and Russians and Houthi and Syria and Iran, and the Taiwanese make a new board game
about being invaded while President Biden focuses on pardoning criminal activity amongst his cronies… Wouldn’t this be China’s best and last chance to invade Taiwan for many years to come?
